Work you commission. Work you own.
A nuclear assignment rarely needs one specialism. It needs safety, regulatory, commercial and delivery judgement weighed against one another, and someone senior to decide which matters most. NCL makes that call, selects people whose experience is directly relevant, runs them as one team and answers for the result.
The partner accountable for an assignment is fixed, as are the key people. The team around them changes as the work does, drawing on the whole NCL bench and on alliance companies where a discipline sits outside NCL. The deliverable belongs to the client, and assignments are designed to leave the frameworks, records and competence behind for the client’s own people to run.

Case studyA decade on the first UK new build in 25 yearsThe first UK nuclear new build in a generation faced first-of-a-kind challenges across licensing, commissioning and organisational capability. NCL supplied safety case, regulatory, commissioning process, licence condition compliance and peer review support, together with technical leadership of the programme’s digital transformation, continuously for more than ten years.
Practice areas
Six practices, each with a director accountable for the standard of the work. Most assignments draw on more than one. Each practice page sets out what the practice covers, who leads the practice and the work behind the claims.

Case studyAn improvement programme that returned €18mA large European nuclear utility needed a structured improvement programme and strategic planning across generation, people and estate functions. NCL team members set up the programme, identified the high-value opportunities, facilitated executive sessions and delivered the training, coaching and co-leadership of projects. The programme returned €18m over four years and spread from nuclear operations into other parts of the business.
Who commissions the work
